Include JavaScript File In HTML

In this article we will show you the solution of include JavaScript file in HTML, a script file's external URL is specified via the src property. Instead of repeatedly creating the same JavaScript to run on different web pages, you should construct an external JavaScript file.js extension, and the src attribute of the <script> element should be used to refer to it.

The <script> element is not permitted in external script files. Just where you'd have typed the script is where you should point to a external script file.

JavaScript, sometimes referred to as JS, is a category of client-side scripting languages that is frequently used during web development to generate contemporary and dynamic web sites.

In this context, JavaScript, which runs on the client machine, is referred to as a "script," a term used to describe languages which aren't freestanding in nature.

In other terms, we can argue that scripting refers to languages whose execution depends on the assistance of another language.

For instance, JavaScript programmes require HTML to run and cannot be embedded into HTML code.

JavaScript is used on web sites in a variety of ways, including to create picture galleries, manipulate the DOM, validate forms, and more.

The HTML <script>.....</script> tag can be used to enclose JavaScript code within the HTML programme so that it can be included to HTML pages.

Because it entirely depends just on structure of a web page which the users use, users also can define JavaScript code inside the "body" or "head" tags.

Step By Step Guide On Include JavaScript File In HTML :-

<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Including a External JavaScript File</title>
</head>
<body>
<form>
<input type="button" value="Result" onclick="display()"/>
</form>
<script src="hello.js">
</script>
</body>
</html>
  1. The browser is informed of the HTML version we are using in our first line, which is <HTML>. Tags are the foundation of HTML documents.
  2. Then we open the title as including an external javascript file.
  3. Then we close head.
  4. Next comes the body tag, which defines the body of the webpage. You can create this same content for your site in one specific location.
  5. Then we create a form and under the form we create a button.
  6. Then we close the form.
  7. Then we define the script as hello.js.
  8. Finally, after closing all tags, </script></body></html> but also code should be executed.

Conclusion :-

The JavaScript code can alternatively be stored in a separate file with the (.js) extension, which we can then include in our HTML document using src property of the <script> element.

If we would like to utilize the same code in several HTML documents, it becomes quite useful.

Also, it spares us from having to repeatedly write the same code and makes maintaining web pages simpler.

I hope this article on include JavaScript file in HTML helps you and the steps and method mentioned above are easy to follow and implement.
